Sonatype Nexus & CLM Tips from the Trenches is an on going series of free training modules created by Manfred Moser for TheNEXUS Community Project. In this set of videos, Manfred will be demoing aspects of Nexus and CLM that cover managing your components, security issues, working with repositories, working with different tools and making it work for you in your development environment.
Tips from the Trenches aims to go into detail about a wide variety of use cases for Sonatype Nexus and Sonatype CLM. We will look at configuration and setup for the tools and how you can integrate them with your development and deployment stack. But let’s not waffle on, but get right to it. The first episodes are:
- Introduction: Get a glimpse of what this series is all about.
- Documentation and Other Resources: Access the documentation for Nexus and CLM and find out more about all the other resources available to you.
- Proxying Nexus with nginx: Use nginx as a reverse proxy to improve performance, increase security and reduce setup complexity with regards to HTTPS/SSL
- Node.js and NPM registries with Nexus: Expose Nexus to your JavaScript developers and give them access to a stable, performant registry.
- Ruby, RubyGems and Gem Repositories with Nexus: Use Nexus to serve gems to your Ruby developers and proxy RubyGems.
- Automating Nexus with the REST API: Check out the documentation and see use cases using curl, ruby and groovy as examples for the powerful integrations that become possible with the REST API.
